Balsam Lake Trolley was founded in February of 2025 by Tim and Paula Moore.  It emerged from a vision to showcase the hidden gems of Polk County, Wisconsin. As long-time residents of the area,we recognized the untapped potential for a unique tourism experience that would highlight the region's diverse attractions. Our deep-rooted connection to the community and intimate knowledge of its history and landscape provided the perfect foundation for this innovative venture. The inspiration for Balsam Lake Trolley struck us during our travels to other picturesque Wisconsin destinations. After experiencing the charm and convenience of trolley tours in Door County in 2018, we asked ourselves, "Why not Polk County?" We realized that our beloved home county, with its rich tapestry of natural beauty and local culture, was perfectly suited for a similar service. This epiphany set the wheels in motion for what would become Balsam Lake Trolley seven years later.

Balsam Lake Trolley represents more than just a business venture; it's our love letter to Polk County. By founding Balsam Lake Trolley, we aim to not only share our passion for the area but also contribute to the local tourism industry, showcasing Polk County as a destination rich in experiences.
